The Recon Scanner is a great weapon to use to your advantage during a battle. It functions like a grenade launcher but instead of firing an explosive it fires a tracking beacon that marks enemy players that are in range of the projectile.

This quest requires you to mark a single enemy with the Recon Scanner.

Let's look at where you can find a Recon Scanner. There are 8 satelite stations on the island. You will be able to see them from the battle bus because they have big red lights on the big satelite dishes at each location. Jump into one of the satelite stations and you will find IO chests. Recon Scanners drop frequently from IO chests.
