This week 12 epic quest requires you to craft a pistol.

The crafting mechanic was introduced and allows you to upgrade makeshift weapons to either primal weapons or mechanical weapons. Primal weapons require you to have animal bones whereas mechanical weapons require you to have mechanical parts.

I'd recommend getting a common (grey) makeshift revolver to do this quest. This is because it only take 2 parts to upgrade. You can use a makeshift revolver of a higher rarity but it will cost more items to upgrade.

You can find animal bones by hunting animals, floor loot, dropped from chests or by smashing bones that can be found in the primal areas of the map.

You can find mechanical parts by destroying vehicles, floor loot or dropped from chests.
