Crafting mechanical weapons is a good idea if you want to increase your chances of eliminating the enemy because mechanical weapons are some of the most useful weapons in the game.

You will need some mechanical parts and a makeshift weapon. Mechanical parts can be found by hitting cars, boats, tool boxes and camper vans with your pickaxe. Makeshift weapons are found all over the map and can be obtained from chests.

When you have everything you need you will see an orange hammer icon above the weapon that is able to be upgraded in your inventory. Find a safe place and open up the crafting menu to craft a mechanical weapon.
